It's been quite some time since Razors made an all blue aggressive skate. You'd have to go all the way back to the Razors Flats to get a dark blue Razors setup. By looking at the pictures you can see that Razors has introduced some color into their SL (Super Lite) series of skates with a nice denim blue color. The cuff has the big oversized Razors logo on the back. This model also is the first pro-model skate for Detroit native Don Bambrick. Long overdue and in big demand, the Bambrick pro skates are here.

One of the recent upgrades the SL skates have underwent is the notched backslide plate. The Aragon 3 skate was the first SL boot to feature the notched backslide plate and they have carried it over to the Bambrick's as well. The initial release of SL Backslide plates was flat on top. What they found was that when the backslide plate was installed on the boot, it could flex and move a little while doing boot tricks. Razors fixed this by adding support braces in the cut-out of the boot providing support for the backslide plate. This has eliminated any wiggle room for the backslide plate. This will make tricks like torques and backslides feel as solid as ever.

The Razors liner that comes in the Bambrick aggressive skates is probably one of the beefiest Razors liners ever. The back of the liner has a ton of padding and provides a ton of support. The tongue has the stash pocket and removable plastic insert. You can remove the plastic insert in the tongue if you want it to be a little softer. We've all been very impressed at the shop with how much of an improvement this liner is over past Razors liners.

Underneath the Razors liner is the Jug gel heel pad. This heel pad is almost one inch thick so it's going to do a really good job of absorbing impacts on gaps. The bottom of the boot has a notch in it and the heel pad slides right into place on the bottom of the boot. This system works really well because the boot holds the heel pad in place so it can't slide around. This is also another feature carried over from the Razors Aragon 3 skates.

The frames that come on the Razors Bambricks are the Ground Control Featherlite 1 frames. The Featherlites come equipped with GC 42mm anti-rocker wheels. As their name implies, the Featherlite frames are extremely lightweight. All of the unnecessary materials in the frame were removed to make it as light as possible. The cut out section of the frame also does a good job of reducing surface area on the frame so souls and topsides slide faster. The GC frames are topped off with 8mm axels and metal frame spacers.

Another great thing about the Razors SL skates is that every part of the skate is easily replaceable. The soul plates, soul frames, backslide plates, cuffs, buckles, laces, frames, wheels, and bearings are all well stocked so if something needs to be replaced it's simple. On top of that, all of the parts are available in a wide variety of colors to choose from.
