Fifty-50 was one of the first companies to offer aftermarket hardgoods for your skates. The company that brought you split metal/plastic grind plates to the first aftermarket frames is still blowing up with new designs like the Core System frames. 50-50 started by making grind plates to prolong the life of your frames. Way back before you could easily replace your frames, grind plates were a necessity. They also released a ton of different products over the years in their Solutions series that made your skates last longer or grind better. One of the top Solutions products was the Juice blocks that really kicked off the freestyle frame revolution. With the Universal Frame System (UFS), 5050 was one of the first companies to release a selection of different frames that you could put on any skate. “Feel the Juice” the 50/50 team video showed sections for all of the team riders at the time. After the video, 50/50 released Balance frames and Core Balance frames. The Core Balance frames are really unique in that you use an aluminum core for the frames. Fifty-50 core walls go on the outside of the aluminum core, and you grind on the core walls. When it’s time for new frames, you just get new core walls and reuse the same aluminum core.
